BUALADH BOS MÓR DON GHAEILGE IN NORTHERN IRELAND WITH RTÉ

The brief

RTÉ were heading into the final stretch of a 3 year scheme to promote the Irish language up North, with a particular focus on younger audiences. On the hunt for a production partner that would help bring to life their vision of a very different Irish language ad, they asked us to pitch in response to a brilliant brief to celebrate the Irish language and Ireland’s identity and culture in the North in a considered way.

The TTM grá for our native language is no secret, so we were thrilled to be awarded the work to help bring this gorgeous concept to life. We handled all elements of production in-house, including pre-pro, permissions, locations, casting, set, costume, lighting, crew, post and final delivery.

Shot in one location with all edits, grading, sound design also completed in-house, this project was also one of the best we’ve seen yet when it came to one aspect – casting. Featured are Louie and Gemma (our canine stars) as well as (on the surface) unlikely pairing, Cóilí and Patricia. Bonding over a shared love of RTE’s Peataí, it’s a short and sweet story of friendship across the ages, encouraging the audience to take a second look, for all might not be as it seems…
