Making Wide Open Spaces With Brown Thomas

The brief

When the fashion industry came to a screeching halt in 2020, retail had to re-imagine how they presented their seasonal collections. With traditional fashion shows no longer a go, the AW20 season required a reimagining, a new way to present collections that would capture the hearts and minds of fashions fans and audiences alike.

Our Role

  • Creative
  • Digital

Our response was Outer Spaces – a content series that mirrored the public sentiment at the time of re-discovering the outdoors and the places that give people solace. We shot figures from the worlds of music, art and culture in beautiful locations, all looking sharp in edits from the Brown Thomas menswear collections. The talented range of subjects included Malaki, Why Axis, Farouk Alao, Donal Talbot, Shane Berkery and JYELLOWL, who discussed their craft, creativity and how they find peaceful escape in their special locations.

As each episode went live, the Brown Thomas team noted the spike in sales of the capsule collections associated with the talent. So as the pandemic eased, another series was commissioned, with new energy for the new world we re-emerged into, Rebranded as NEW DIMENSIONS, the platform was designed to work across social, digital, experiential, events and more. The new series featured collaborators united by one criteria – they must be pushing boundaries in their respective fields.

Talent featured to date includes Tobi Balogun, Big Style, Harry of Mild Activity Running Club, Soda Blonde’s Donagh Seaver O’ Leary and KhakiKid. Check some of their engrossing episodes below and watch out for more, coming very soon…
